Enhancing User Experience: New 404 & 403 Error Pages on all Web Platform Sites
Elevating Error Pages for Enhanced User Engagement
In the modern dynamic digital landscape users expect seamless browsing and navigation through Web Platform websites. However, encountering error pages like 404 (Page Not Found) and 403 (Forbidden) can disrupt this experience and leave users feeling frustrated and disconnected. Recognizing the importance of a user-friendly online environment, we are launching universal error pages within all Web Platform sites. Instead of generic and uninspiring error messages, we have created 404 and 403 error pages that reflect the UCLA brand identity and provide helpful guidance to users.
Beyond branding, we understand the importance of providing users with clear and actionable information when they encounter errors. Instead of cryptic error codes and technical jargon, error pages will feature user-friendly language that guides site visitors back on track and provides contact information for support.
